DESCRIPTION:<p class=''><strong>How do we listen to each other well? How do
  we step back from our own agendas to be attentive to where the Spirit is 
 moving? How can we make better decisions about organising ourselves as Chr
 istian communities? How do we enrich our parish communal life with enrichi
 ng conversations?<br /> </strong></p>\n<p class=''>The Synod process has e
 mphasised the importance of listening and good conversations in our commun
 ity life. However these are not always so easy in practice! This 101: Conv
 ersations in the Spirit workshop series will introduce the principles of h
 olding prayerful\, truthful and safe conversations which value gracious li
 stening and courageous speaking.</p>\n<p class=''>It is suitable for all l
 evels of experience including people who have not been involved in the Syn
 od process so far. You will be supported to hold your own 'trial' conversa
 tion over the course of the sessions\, and reflect back on your experience
  with the group. We will also hold a conversation in the Spirit each week.

 >\n<li>Reflect on and experience synodality</li>\n<li>Look at the process 
 of Conversation in the Spirit</li>\n<li>Draw lessons from Jesus' ministry 
 on the underpinning attitudes and dispositions need for enabling Conversat
 ion in the Spirit</li>\n<li>Consider the role of the facilitator</li>\n<li
 >Give options for what to do if you do not have facilitators</li>\n<li>Unp
 ack the experience of the Conversation in the Spirit process</li>\n<li>Not
 ice the skills needed to support people in such conversations</li>\n<li>Ex
 perience prayer that builds on the principles of synodality</li>\n<li>Look
  at ways you might use what you are learning in your parish/group/setting<
 /li>\n</ul>\n<p><br />After attending these workshops\, we hope you will f
 eel equipped to use Conversations in the Spirit in your community.</p>\n<p
 >There will be a follow-up session on&nbsp\;<strong>Tuesday 30th September
  at 2pm to 3.30pm&nbsp\;</strong>to give an opportunity for sharing experi
 ences\, insights and questions having had some time to apply the learning
